Tiny Book Haul!

Hey guys! I just received a few books in the mail, and I know this isn’t the biggest haul but I’m really excited with my tiny pile of new books so I thought I’d share! So I haven’t finished any of these books yet, but I will be sure to update you guys once I have!

So, I think we must start with Hocus Pocus & The All New sequel, because I posted about needing this book a while ago Hocus Pocus and the All-New Sequel–Do I need it?, and so many of you shared my excitement about this book. So, I knew I was making an amazon order so I decided to pick it up and get in a wonderful Halloween-ish mood.

Off the bat I have to say, I didn’t expect this book to be so large! Don’t get me wrong I’m very excited about this fact, but I feel like when I saw it for the first time on someone’s bookstagram story, it looked quite a bit smaller! This is all to say, I’m so very excited to start reading this book!

The next book I got is a collection of short stories by Shirley Jackson, called Dark Tales. I both love collections like this, see:Five Reasons Why I Love Collections of Short Stories  and Shirley Jackson, see: We Have Always Lived in the Castle- Review.

Her writing is just so haunting and beautifully witty. This is the first book of the pile that I’ve started and I am living it so far!

The last book I picked up was by Ray Bradbury because again, one must properly prepare for fall by getting into a very particular spooky mood. Ray Bradbury is one of my favourite authors, and I have heard nothing but good things about this book, and I am so very excited to dig into it!

Have you read any of these books, if so let me know your thoughts! Also have you picked up any cool books recently? I’d also love to hear about it!

Have a wonderful day!
